‘Enough about the fight’: Cassper Nyovest cancels boxing match with AKA

The rapper was walking away from the highly anticipated boxing match with his long-time rap-rival AKA to concentrate on becoming a billionaire, he announced via Twitter on 20 January.

CASSPER NYOVEST BORED WITH FIGHT TALK

The infamous boxing match between Cassper Nyovest and AKA has been going back and forth for a few years now. The rappers have continued having a go at each other through their communication channel of choice — Twitter.

In a Tweet shared to Nyovest’s 3.1 million followers, he effectively pulled the plug on the boxing match by saying “enough about the fight, I know it’s boring now”. He added a project he was working on was a step in the direction of becoming South Africa’s first hip-hop billionaire.

The new dad also said the fight probably would not happen due to “too many cooks, lies, stunts and egos”, and that he was “bored of going back and forth”.

There are different versions to the story of who signed the contract and who did not, and what the reason for the delay of the match actually is.

AKA PROVES HE SIGNED CONTRACT

The Fella In Versace hitmaker posted screenshots of the letter of offer for the Cassper vs AKA fight and messages that he sent regarding the match that were ignored. AKA further said his team were paying Cassper Nyovest to fight him.

“The truth is, my team is literally paying this guy to fight me. So please, stop with the clown s**t. Take the money and shut your mouth,” AKA tweeted.

THE LETTER OF OFFER

The document AKA shared with his 4.7 million followers is titled “Letter of offer: The Cassper vs AKA fight” and is addressed to to Family Tree/ Bridge Entertainment. Family Tree is Cassper Nyovest’s merchandising brand. Cake Media was representing AKA for the fight.

The letter said AKA eagerly accepted participating in the boxing match and further makes an official offer to Cassper Nyovest’s team.

CASSPER NYOVEST DROPPING NEW MUSIC?

Canadian rapper Drake announced that he would be delaying his album release due to surgery and so Mama I Made It hitmaker Cassper retweeted the post saying he would “take it from here”.

Certified Charm Boy would drop on Valentine’s day, he said.
