As the only live sport still taking place at the moment — albeit behind closed doors, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) action has been continuing from the performance centre in Orlando, Florida, twice a week.
Fans of the sport, or the WWE Universe as they are referred to, could not have asked for a better time to stay tuned into the action with the Backlash pay-per-view just weeks away.
In a Zoom call interview from home, Bobby Lashley shared the importance of still having a go at the WWE championship title. He also voiced his thoughts on the recent cinematic matches that took the lead at WrestleMania, including the Boneyard match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles.
Looking forward to Backlash brawl
Lashley spoke about how it feels to be the “superior fighter” when it comes to these fights and gave us a glimpse of what to expect at Backlash on 15 June when he will be stepping into the ring with Drew McIntyre.
We then delved into his newly formed alliance with MVP and his role in getting Lashley back to the top, before Bobby told us about his dream match with Brock Lesnar.
Lashley expressed his excitement about the prospect of touring South Africa with the now-postponed WWE Live.
Having initially been scheduled for earlier in May, Big Concerts have announced that the event has provisionally been moved to September.
