Brighton vs Manchester City

Manchester City take the field on the final day knowing a win at Brighton will guarantee a second successive Premier League title.

The reigning champions will pip challengers Liverpool to the post and seal back-to-back crowns with three points at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side have put together a near-mythical 13 consecutive EPL victories in a perfect run to the finish line.

The only thing more extraordinary is that the Reds remain within a point of City to make for a one-game shootout for the championship.

Brighton are safe from relegation back to the second tier but will have raised eyebrows in the north west with a spirited 1-1 draw at top four contenders Arsenal last weekend.

With City’s last two successes coming via uncharacteristically nervy 1-0 margains, they will hope not to be relying on any more moments of magic such as Vincent Kompany’s wonder-goal against Leicester on Monday night.

Liverpool vs Wolves

Liverpool are out to set Anfield rocking for the second time in five days as they target the Premier League title with a win over Wolves on Sunday.

The Reds are locked in a final day shootout with reigning champions Manchester City.

Their north west rivals have a one-point advantage in their bid to seal back-to-back titles, finishing their campaign at lowly Brighton.

But Jurgen Klopp’s men have magic in their veins after an electric, 4-0 Champions League semi-final demolition of Lionel Messi’s Barcelona on Merseyside on Tuesday.

If they can maintain that sparkling feeling, who knows what could happen as the curtain comes down on a thrilling domestic campaign at the top.

In-form Wolves have secured a seventh-placed finish ahead of the final day thanks to three straight wins.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are heading for European qualification on their return to the top flight after beating Arsenal, Watford and Fulham in recent weeks.

Manchester United vs Cardiff

Manchester United will have to rouse themselves one last time as they bid to finish a frustrating season on a high against relegated Cardiff at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were knocked out of the top four race in the Premier League after a dispiriting 1-1 draw at rock-bottom Huddersfield last weekend.

Stalemate made it four games without a win for the Red Devils at the sharp end of the campaign, leaving them looking at Europa League football next season.

Cardiff wave goodbye to the top flight as they descend back to the second tier at the first time of asking under veteran boss Neil Warnock.

Leicester vs Chelsea

Chelsea will seal third place in the Premier League table with a win at Leicester on Sunday’s final day.

Maurizio Sarri’s men ended a run of three games without victory last Sunday by brushing Watford aside 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

That they look set for a spot on the podium owes much to the malpractice of top four rivals Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United, who have all coughed and spluttered towards the finish line.

But no matter, with Champions League football in the bag for next season and a carefree afternoon to bring the curtain down in the East Midlands.

Leicester almost upset the title apple cart on Monday night, holding out at leaders Manchester City before falling late on to a Vincent Kompany howitzer.

Brendan Rodgers has teased out a promising finish to the Foxes’ campaign after his mid-season switch from Scottish big guns Celtic, with one eye already on August.

Tottenham vs Everton

Tottenham and Everton meet for a relatively stress-free final day clash in north London in the Premier League on Sunday.

The lack of jeopardy is probably just as well after Spurs’ heart-stopping, last-gasp Champions League semi-final heroics to stun Ajax on Wednesday night in Amsterdam.

Anything barring a massive home defeat and a big win for Arsenal at Burnley will guarantee fourth place, with third still a possibility depending on Chelsea’s efforts at Leicester.

Everton have finished the season well under boss Marco Silva and are unbeaten in three to ensure a top half finish that was by no means on the cards before the turn of the year.

Burnley vs Arsenal

Arsenal need a last day miracle to break into the Champions League qualification reckoning as they go to Burnley on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Gunners have misfired badly as the campaign reaches its climax.

Three defeats in their last four winless matches has left Unai Emery’s men on the outside looking in having chucked away a promising position.

Last Sunday’s grating 1-1 draw at home to Brighton has left them needing a win, a defeat for arch-rivals Tottenham and an eight-goal swing to snatch fourth place.

Burnley have battled hard to ensure their EPL status for another season.

Sean Dyche’s side have lost their last two against north west rivals Manchester City and Everton, but only with top flight survival safely in the bag.

Watford vs West Ham

Watford and West Ham meet at Vicarage Road on Sunday with a place in the top half of the Premier League at stake.

The pair are a point apart either side of the halfway mark in the EPL table.

Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers are finishing the stronger, with back-to-back wins over Tottenham and Southampton making for an encouraging finish.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth

Crystal Palace and Bournemouth could trade mid-table places in the Premier League when they meet for Sunday’s finale at Selhurst Park.

Roy Hodgson’s Eagles have risen to a perfectly comfortable finish following a dodgy start to the season.

The Cherries, meanwhile, have gone the other way with early dreams of European qualification long since dashed, although they are finishing well.

Fulham vs Newcastle

Fulham bid farewell to the Premier League with a home game against Newcastle at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Scott Parker’s side are heading straight back through the relegation trapdoor as their big spending summer of 2018 failed to turn into a success on the pitch.

Newcastle are safe as houses following an impressive finish to the season, with thoughts already turning to the future of popular boss Rafa Benitez.

Southampton vs Huddersfield

Southampton and Huddersfield round off the Premier League season at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday with absolutely nothing at stake.

The Saints breathed a sigh of relief on securing their top flight survival recently after a torrid campaign was salvaged by new boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

No such luck for Huddersfield, who are tumbling back down to the Championship having cobbled together just 15 points all season.
