South Africa has recorded 14 046 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of cases to date to 954 258.
The country has also recorded 411 new COVID-19 related fatalities on Wednesday.
In a statement, Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says most of the new deaths were recorded in the Western Cape.
“101 deaths from the Eastern Cape, 3 from the Free State, 34 from Gauteng, 90 from Kwa-Zulu Natal, 6 from Mpumalanga, 6 from North West and 171 from the Western Cape,” says Dr Mkhize.
This brings the total number of deaths to 25 657.
Recoveries now stand at 811 372.
