Xiaomi is making headlines this week and for all the right reasons. The manufacturer launched the Mi 11 on 29 December. While the Mi M10 series also featured a Mi 10 Pro, no confirmation was received about a Mi 11 Pro.
However, trusted source Digital Chat Station confirmed on Weibo that a Mi 11 Pro is in the works and that we could expect it as soon as February 2021.
Xiaomi Mi 11: Here’s what we know
While everyone is scrambling to get the latest Pro, Pro Plus or Ultra model out, Xiaomi decided to stick to the basics and introduced only the one flagship phone. And we have to say, it was refreshing.
It’s reported that the Mi 11 Pro will have the same processor as the standard Mi 11 model. The Mi 11 Pro model will reportedly feature 100W or 120W fast charging technology in the Pro model, as well as a larger battery.
The Mi 11 is officially the first phone with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, which can be combined with either 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage or 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage.
The Snapdragon 888 is Qualcomm’s latest top-of-the-range mobile processor. It reportedly features 25% better CPU and 35% better GPU performance than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 865.
Display and camera
As for the Xiaomi’s display and camera, the Mi 11 features a 6.81″ AMOLED with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The main camera sports a 108MP lens with a 7P lens and f/1.85 lens in front.
There’s also a 13MP ultrawide angle camera with 123-degree FoV, as well as a basic 5MP macro lens. In addition, Xiaomi placed a 20MP selfie lens on the front of the device in the top corner. GSM arena confirms other features include:

- NFC and navigation services
Rumoured launch date for Mi 11 Pro
Digital Chat Station suggested that the Mi 11 Pro will be released on 12 February after the Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival. This follows after Digital Chat Station confirmed that the Pro model wouldn’t launch with the main series.
The user also could confirm that the “screen parameters are exactly the same” as the Mi 11 model. User can expect changes to rear camera and battery life, however.
As for the camera: While the Mi 11 does not feature a telephoto lens on the rear. That said, the lens might make a return with the Mi 11 Pro model. The pro model would likely also feature an under-screen camera on the front.
