The Executive Producer of SAfm’s Current Affairs Radio show at the SABC, Krivani Pillay, has described her version of events following former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s May 2016 decision to ban protest coverage at the public broadcaster.
Pillay is testifying at the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture in Parktown, Johannesburg.
Pillay is among the SABC8 journalists, who are testifying at the inquiry – which has heard of a lacking in governance structures, financial controls and editorial interference at the state-owned enterprise.
She has outlined the contents of a meeting with Motsoeneng, following his decision to ban protest coverage on the SABC.
