President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Wednesday virtually deliver a keynote address in celebration of Reconciliation Day.
The aim of celebrating the day is to foster reconciliation among all race groups and to promote national unity.
This year the day is commemorated under the theme: “United in action against racism, gender-based violence and other intolerances”.
Twenty-six years into democracy South Africa is still grappling with incidents of racism and at a time when it is battling the coronavirus pandemic.
Ramaphosa has also described the escalation in gender-based violence, a second pandemic.
