A ward councillor in Mokwakwaila village, outside Tzaneen in Limpopo, will appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court on Monday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.
The 58-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Motlafela Mojapelo, says it is alleged that the suspect offered the girl a lift after which he drove her into the bushes where he allegedly raped her.
